Getting Started as Staff

Welcome to Payverge! This guide helps staff members get started with the platform. You don't need a crypto wallet or any blockchain knowledge - just your email address.

How Staff Access Works

Unlike business owners who use crypto wallets, staff members use a simple email-based login system:

  • No Crypto Wallet Needed - Just your email
  • No Passwords - Use one-time codes instead
  • Role-Based Access - See only what you need
  • Mobile Friendly - Works on any device

Receiving Your Invitation

Invitation Email

Your manager will send you an invitation email:

Email Contains:

  • Restaurant/business name
  • Your assigned role
  • Invitation link
  • Expiration date (7 days)

Accepting the Invitation

  1. Check Your Email - Look for invitation from Payverge
  2. Click the Link - Opens acceptance page
  3. Enter Your Name - Provide your full name
  4. Accept Invitation - Confirm acceptance
  5. Success! - You're now part of the team

Check Spam

If you don't see the email, check your spam/junk folder. Add noreply@payverge.io to your contacts.


First Login

Accessing the System

After accepting your invitation:

  1. Visit Staff Login - Go to payverge.io/staff/login
  2. Enter Your Email - The email you were invited with
  3. Request Code - Click "Send Code"
  4. Check Email - You'll receive a 6-digit code
  5. Enter Code - Type the code
  6. Access Dashboard - You're in!

Login Codes

How Codes Work:

  • New code for each login
  • Sent via email instantly
  • Expires in 10 minutes
  • Cannot be reused
  • No passwords to remember

Security:

  • Codes are one-time use
  • Unique to your email
  • Secure authentication
  • No password vulnerabilities

Understanding Your Role

Your role determines what you can access and do in the system.

Manager

You Can:

  • ✅ Manage menu items
  • ✅ Create and manage tables
  • ✅ Invite and manage staff
  • ✅ Create and close bills
  • ✅ Approve orders
  • ✅ Access kitchen display
  • ✅ View analytics

You Cannot:

  • ❌ Change subscription
  • ❌ Modify payment settings
  • ❌ Access financial settings

Your Focus: Overall operations and team management


Server

You Can:

  • ✅ View tables and status
  • ✅ Create bills
  • ✅ Add items to bills
  • ✅ Process payments
  • ✅ Close bills
  • ✅ View order status

You Cannot:

  • ❌ Edit menu
  • ❌ Manage staff
  • ❌ View analytics
  • ❌ Create/delete tables

Your Focus: Customer service and bill management


Host

You Can:

  • ✅ View all tables
  • ✅ See table status
  • ✅ View active bills
  • ✅ Monitor guest flow

You Cannot:

  • ❌ Create or edit bills
  • ❌ Manage menu
  • ❌ Process orders
  • ❌ Manage staff

Your Focus: Guest reception and table management


Kitchen

You Can:

  • ✅ Access kitchen display
  • ✅ View incoming orders
  • ✅ Mark items "In Kitchen"
  • ✅ Mark items "Ready"
  • ✅ See special requests

You Cannot:

  • ❌ Access anything else

Your Focus: Food preparation and order tracking

After logging in, you'll see your role-specific dashboard:

Manager Workflow

Start of Shift:

  1. Log in via email code
  2. Review daily operations
  3. Check pending orders
  4. Monitor kitchen status
  5. Review staff assignments

During Shift:

  • Approve incoming orders
  • Handle special requests

End of Shift:

  • Review day's performance

Server Workflow

Start of Shift:

  • Close bills

End of Shift:

  • Close all your bills

Start of Shift:

  2. Check table availability
  3. Review reservations (if applicable)
  4. Note busy sections

During Shift:

  • Greet guests
  • Monitor table status
  • Coordinate with servers
  • Manage wait times

End of Shift:

  • Review occupancy
  • Note any issues
  • Prepare for next shift

Kitchen Workflow

Start of Shift:

  1. Log in via email code
  2. Open kitchen display
  3. Check equipment
  4. Review prep status

During Shift:

  • Monitor order queue
  • Mark items "In Kitchen"

End of Shift:

Common Tasks

Creating a Bill (Server/Manager)

  1. Tap "Create Bill"
  2. Select Table - Choose table number
  3. Add Items - Browse menu and add
  4. Review - Check items and total
  5. Confirm - Bill is created

Processing Payment (Server/Manager)

  1. Open Bill
  2. Verify Total - Check with guest
  3. Guest Pays - Via QR code or manual
  4. Confirm Payment - Mark as paid if manual
  5. Close Bill - Finalize transaction

Approving Orders (Manager)

  1. View Pending Orders
  2. Review Details - Check items and requests
  3. Approve or Reject - Make decision
  4. Send to Kitchen - If approved
  5. Notify Guest - If rejected

Updating Order Status (Kitchen)

  1. View Order Queue
  2. Select Order
  3. Mark "In Kitchen" - When starting
  4. Prepare Dish
  5. Mark "Ready" - When complete

Can't Receive Login Code

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a crypto wallet?

No! Staff members use email-based login. No crypto knowledge needed.

Can I access from home?

Yes, if your manager allows it. Most staff access during shifts only.

What if I forget my email?

Contact your manager. They can resend the invitation or update your email.

Can I change my role?

Only your manager or owner can change roles. Ask them if you need different access.

What if I'm locked out?

Contact your manager immediately. They can help restore access.

Can I use multiple devices?

Yes, but you'll need to log in separately on each device.

How long do sessions last?

Sessions last 24 hours. You'll need to log in again after that.

What if I leave the job?

Your manager will remove your access. You won't be able to log in anymore.
