Browsing the Menu

After scanning the QR code, you can browse the restaurant's digital menu. This guide shows you how to explore items, view details, and find what you're looking for.

The menu is organized into categories for easy browsing:

  • Appetizers - Starters and small plates
  • Main Courses - Entrees and main dishes
  • Sides - Side dishes and accompaniments
  • Desserts - Sweet treats
  • Beverages - Drinks and cocktails
  • And more - Categories vary by restaurant

Category Bar​

At the top of the menu, you'll see category buttons:

  1. Tap a Category - Jump to that section
  2. Scroll Through - Swipe left/right to see all categories
  3. Active Indicator - Current category is highlighted

Scrolling​

  • Swipe Up/Down - Scroll through items
  • Auto-Highlight - Category updates as you scroll
  • Smooth Scrolling - Easy navigation

Viewing Menu Items​

Each menu item shows:

Item Card​

Basic Information:

  • Photo - High-quality image of the dish
  • Name - Item name
  • Description - Brief description
  • Price - Cost in your currency

Item Photos​

Many items have multiple photos:

  1. Main Photo - Primary image
  2. Swipe Left/Right - View more photos
  3. Zoom - Pinch to zoom in
  4. Close-ups - Detail shots

Photo Indicators:

  • Dots show number of photos
  • Current photo highlighted
  • Swipe to navigate

Dietary Information​

Dietary Tags​

Items are tagged with dietary information:

  • 🌱 Vegetarian - No meat or fish
  • 🥬 Vegan - No animal products
  • 🌾 Gluten-Free - No gluten
  • 🥜 Contains Nuts - Tree nuts or peanuts
  • 🌶️ Spicy - Spicy ingredients
  • 🧀 Dairy-Free - No dairy
  • 🐟 Contains Shellfish - Shellfish present
  • 🥚 Contains Eggs - Eggs included

Filtering by Diet​

Some restaurants allow filtering:

  1. Tap Filter Icon
  2. Select Dietary Preferences
  3. View Matching Items
  4. Clear Filters - See all items again

Prices & Currency​

Price Display​

Prices are shown in your preferred currency:

  • Automatic Detection - Based on your location
  • Multiple Currencies - Some restaurants show multiple
  • Tax Included - Check if tax is included
  • Service Fees - Additional fees noted

Currency Selection​

If available:

  1. Tap Currency Icon
  2. Select Preferred Currency
  3. Prices Update - All prices convert

Item Availability​

Status Indicators​

Items may have status badges:

  • ✅ Available - Ready to order
  • ⚠️ Sold Out - Temporarily unavailable
  • 🌟 Popular - Customer favorite
  • 🆕 New - Recently added
  • 🔥 Spicy - Contains heat

Sold Out Items:

  • Grayed out
  • Cannot be ordered
  • May return later
  • Ask server for alternatives

Custom Notes​

Add special instructions:

How to Add:

  1. View item details

  3. Type your note
  4. Kitchen receives your request

Adding Items to Your Order​

Quick Add​

From the menu view:

  1. Tap Item Card
  2. Select Options (if required)
  3. Choose Quantity
  4. Tap "Add to Bill"
  5. Item Added - Confirmation appears

Quantity Selection​

Choose how many:

  • Minus Button (-) - Decrease quantity
  • Number Display - Current quantity
  • Plus Button (+) - Increase quantity
  • Type Number - Enter specific amount

Viewing Your Current Order​

Order Summary​

See what you've ordered:

  1. Tap Bill Icon - In navigation
  2. View All Items - Everything ordered
  3. See Total - Current bill amount
  4. Add More - Return to menu
